Take everything you know about the magical girl genre and turn it on its head - this is not a show of pink and glitter and happy endings. Puella Magi Madoka Magica is the grimdark of mahoushoujo shows, and these girls need hugs. And votes. Maybe wishes. Avoid white long-eared cat-like things though.
