Emotionally Unstable
by Panadero - October 9, 2011 7:45:26 PM MST
With Prince Io visiting for the weekend we've been able to get a decent amount of anime watching in, and the result is two of the three entries we have for you today. If there's a common theme in the three items today, it's that the main casts of each display entirely different personality traits from each other. First up is Usagi Drop, the heartwarming and surprisingly evenhanded tale of a 30 year old single guy taking in a relative's illegitimate child. The tones of most of the emotions here run from love to depression to lonliness.
Next is the shameless 1+2= Paradise, about twin girls attempting to seduce a hapless guy into marrying one of them. The tone of emotions here are mostly lust and embarrassment. Unlike the much better Minna Agechau, this is leering and base and the closest thing to actual hentai on the site. Not recommended other than to satisfy morbid curiosity.
Last is Magical Witch Punie-chan, about a magical girl who must train on earth in order to claim the throne in Magical Land. As it is a spiritual sister series to Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan, the tone here is tinged with violence, but it is much more mean-spirited and less whimsical. While it was fun, we both felt that Dokuro-chan was the superior show.
All told, fifteen new characters are up for voting, so get to it!
