A La Carte Update

by Panadero - October 21, 2012 12:23:08 PM MST

Another Sunday, another 'little bit of everything' kind of update. We have a couple recent series, a couple classics, and a couple random OAVs to offer, so let's get to it!

First up is Kino's Journey which I finally got around to seeing, and it's every bit as good and contemplative as I'd heard. Definitely recommended.

Next is the 90's classic Devil Hunter Yohko, in which a sultry Yohko hunts demons and gets her clothes constantly torn off.

Then we have the recent KyoAni show Hyouka in which students solve mysteries of various complexity. I universally love KyoAni character designs and the strong characters made it a very enjoyable watch.

Next is the strange but fun Humanity has Declined. At first I didn't quite see what the positive buzz was all about but by the end, particularly starting in the second half, I really saw where the show was coming from and am glad I watched it.

Next we have a handful of OAVs, listed here for brevity: Early Reins, Hoshizora Kiseki, Cosmos Pink Shock, Call Me Tonight (definitely not for children), Cherry no Manma.

Then we have a zany 3 minute-per episode comedy series named Phantom Thief Reinya, in which a thief, Saint Tail style, steals various items. It was more fun than it really deserved to be.

Rounding out the titles is the classic Here is Greenwood, about the trials and tribulations of a handful of students in a male dormitory.

A total of 31 new characters should make up for over a month without an update, don't you think? Have fun!
