Faking It
by Panadero - May 27, 2014 7:57:21 PM MST
Tonight brings a minor update featuring two series that just completed, both of which have characters voiced by the wonderful Kana Hanazawa.
First, we have Studio Shaft's Nisekoi, a romantic comedy about two high school students forced to fake being in a relationship in order to smooth relations between their powerful families. The setup was fairly paint-by-the-numbers, but Shaft's adaptation brought a lot of life to it, and Kosaki - voiced by Kana Hanazawa - was heart-breakingly cute in every scene she was in.
Second is the fun Tonari no Seki-kun - The Master of Killing Time, a seven-minute-per-episode series in which Rumi - also voiced by Kana Hanazawa - is constantly distracted in class by the strange time-killing exploits of her classmate. The short episode length made the absurdity and abrupt endings that much more fun.
