Description
Appearing in .hack//Liminality, Mai is a high school student with only limited experience with video games. She only played The World because her boyfriend set an account up for her. A tragic accident that causes many players, including both her and her boyfriend, to become comatose leads her to a meeting with Junichiro Tokuoka upon waking up. The two of them form a team and recruit others to investigate the seemingly spreading issue of players becoming comatose when playing The World.
