Description
Akari is an elementary school girl and Hikaru's childhood friend. Though at first confused by Hikaru's sudden interest in Go, she makes an effort to learn the game, first on her own and then eventually in a school club. Akari is a sweet girl who doesn't let Hikaru's discouragement and negativity get in the way of her learning, or temper her feelings for Hikaru himself.
