Description
Index is a young nun who hails from a branch of the Church of England called Necessarius. Embedded in her head are 103,000 prohibited magical texts - texts which might be useful to those who would seek the powers they contain. Though she doesn't want to get Touma involved in her affairs, she eventually gives up as Touma refuses to ignore what he feels is his duty to protect her. Index can be helpless when it comes to food preparation and modern technology and she develops a habit of biting Touma when annoyed with him, but she quickly grows attached to him despite his teasing.
